Florida Football

The year 2006 ,was it "destiny" for the young Gators, or was it just a coach with a hard work ethic and players who just believed in him and worked very hard to get where they were. I think it was a little bit of both. Chris Leak is the man by the way. Just thought I would throw that out there. I knew at the beginning of the season, when i saw the orange and blue spring game that they were goin to NC(national championship). All my friends laughed at me and told me that they would have another 9 win season (which isnt bad). Well needless to say my gators were 6-0 awaiting thier trip to Auburn, by this time I thought that the gators were invicible then they lost that saturday unfortunately. I had already thought of a SEC Championship and a NC were in the works, even tho I already predicted both. There were still like 5 undefeated teams left that had already went through the "tough" parts of thier schedule, so i thought. I knew that UF would win the rest of thier games. Shortly after the loss the those damn Tigers, Michigain was defeated by the best team in college football "Ohio State" as also i thought at the time,NOT!!!!!!!!!! Do you know what made this game even sweeter was that my little brothers favorite team was Michigain when they it was nice to hear him piss and moan how the refs cheated and such but we all know both teams sucked.After that loss for the M squad i was sure that UF would finish 3rd in the BCS and face Michigain in the Orange bowl I believe. I really thought that, that was how it was going to be,all USC had to do was to beat 24 ranked unsuperior UCLA.USC lost by a field goal around halftime of the SEC C game and I knew that the UF would pass Michigain in the BCS. When it was officially announced god it was so damn nice and little bro was whining his but off. That was a good day a damn good day. I remember and I quote Troy Smith," we will win easy because we play for the man next to us and dont play for ourselves." I mean c'mon now Troy Smith you of all people should know not to say those kinds of things during a pressconference. All my friends told me that UF was gonna lose but I told them that Ohio State has never played anyone with floridas speed tenacity.I made a friendly bet with my dads friend 100 dollars that UF would win and another 100 that UF would hold the hiesman winner under 100 yards. When the Gators took the field that B-E-Autiful in Arizona I knew that they were gonna win and did they,not only did they win but so did I.
